Client: Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel
Brief: Organise and run a 'Stars In Their Eyes' event for 500 staff
Details: Amplitude was selected by the management team at the hotel after running many previous events at the hotel. The brief was to organise and run a 'Stars in their Eyes' live event, for 500 staff and their family & friends. A versatile lighting rig and stage set was created, and all the necessary audio and visual equipment was installed.
We wanted to make the production as close to the TV show as possible; We had the theme tune and incidental music specially composed for the event, a radio talkback-system so the production manager could talk to the presenters during the show. Each singer was filmed in the morning saying "tonight.... I'm going to be.." so that we could do a true walk in (on VT) and out of the smoke (Live) effect. There was even a performers green room with a plasma screen so they could see all the action, and a live camera link up that followed the winner to the stage when they were announced.
